AccenTech works with a life insurance company established in 1947, in the basement of the Pentagon, to promote military families' general welfare and economic interests during war and peace. At the time, service members could not purchase life insurance that would pay a benefit if the member was killed in a war zone. It is contained in the exclusion section of the insurance policy.
Today, the insurer serves over 535,000 members in the armed forces, government employees and contractors, law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel.
Since 1947, the insurer has paid over $2 billion in survivor benefits to the families of our members.
Survivor benefits are funded by life insurance underwritten by a major insurance company.
